the total for design and printing is going to run about $1,500. The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) subsidized the cost of the project with a $500 donation and the county is going to pick up the rest.
Burke, who said his office was in the process of checking the proofs and verifying all the names and coordinates, mentioned that county residents occasionally buy the 36-inch Emergency Service map to frame. But, he said, it was not really useful for traveling.
“It’s going to be good and it’s going to help a lot of people,” Burke said. “ This new map will have all the private lanes on it. We’ll have to update it periodically because new lanes are being added all the time.”
