The campaign began Sept. 1 and set an overall goal this year of $615,000. The Piedmont United Way serves Fauquier, Culpeper, Rappahannock, Orange and Madison Counties. The campaign ends in late November.

Ten agencies serving Rappahannock County are currently funded by the Piedmont United Way. They are: Fauquier Family Shelter Services, Fauquier Free Clinic, Girl Scouts of VA Skyline, Healthy Families, RRCSB-Meals for the Elderly, Rapidan Better Housing, Rappahannock EMS Council, Rappahannock Legal Services, Services to Abused Families, and Shenandoah Area Boy Scouts.

Warren McKeen, Executive Director for the Piedmont United Way said, “Our focus is local and our commitment is local. This year, goals have been established for each county and we intend to increase our visibility in each county.”

The overall theme is the same in all Five counties—to increase awareness of the local United Way agency and increase funding for the agencies and programs that are supported by the Piedmont
