Poetry coffeehouse
Join Ki Theatre Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. for its sixth Celebration of Contemporary and Traditional Poetry performed in a relaxed, intimate candlelit coffeehouse setting. Featured artists include Roger Klinger, who will read poetry selections from his forthcoming book: “Golden Birds Singing;" Mark Willcher, an award-winning landscape artist/poet, and Carla Theodore. Community members may bring a poem to read during an open mike period. Seating is limited; reserve by calling 540-987-3164. Tickets at $10 each also may be purchased at the door.
Music festival

Civil War talk
Local historian Jim Flanagan will speak on “The Florse in the Civil War" on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at the Blue Ridge Civil War Roundtable meeting at the Rappahannock County Library. Everyone is invited. Flanagan is a retired high school teacher. President of the Fauquier County CWRT, and Vice President of the Brandy Station Foundation. RCHS 25-year reunion
The Rappahannock County High School Class of 1979 will host its 25 year reunion Saturday. Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Belle Meade Schoolhouse on Route 231. Tickets are $40 per person.
