I was at Belle Meade earlier this week checking on the progress of the soon to be opened Montessori Farm School. The schoolhouse, which Susan Hoffman and Mike Biniek so lovingly restored, will once again be a real school.
The cirriculum is geared toward seventh and eighth graders, and teacher Jim Webster will focus on the “hands on” aspects of farm life along with a classical curriculum including studies of ancient civilizations, geometry, Spanish and Latin.
