, Vacation Bible School is one of the greatest opportunities to reach all people, especially children and preschoolers, during the summer months.
Washington Baptist Church ' and Trinity Episcopal Church sponsored a joint bible school this August that had a total enrollment of 77 which included 44 students and 30 helpers. Average daily attendance was around 60. The children and helpers wore Bible costumes similar to garments worn more than 2,000 years ago as they stepped back in time to walk with Jesus in a Jerusalem marketplace.
Each day focused on a different aspect of Jesus's life. Children learned about Palm Sunday when Jesus was welcomed by the crowds and also about his time spent praying in the garden and his eventual arrest, crucifixion and resurrection.
