problem. I've heard of schools having to close to clean up such problems. How about we find it now, before someone gets sick, and fix it before school opens.
The results of exposure to mold, fumes, or construction dust may be subtle, or may take time to show up. Perhaps your or my child will develop asthma or another chronic illness long after this project is completed and forgotten. I would like for a third party, not the construction subcontractor, to conduct tests for mold and asbestos before school opens. Perhaps the EPA should be invited to monitor the air while construction continues should school have to open. I have to know my child is safe. I look forward to reading in this newspaper what is being done to ensure that everyone’s children are going to be safe in the school that our tax money supports. Let's not rush to open school. Let's open it when it is ready.
