the school opened. What happens is school opens and work still needs to be done. The work then slows down and the occupants of the school are exposed to the hazards of an ongoing construction job. Dust, fumes from solvents and paints producing poor air quality are often present. Night leaves little time for the air to be cleared before students return the next day. Everyone loses in this case.
A better alternative is to let the construction company finish 100 percent inside the building before school opens. Someone may have egg on their face for poor scheduling, but the construction gets done quickly and the students and staff are a lot better off. Isn't the most important part of this job the welfare of the children?
