of solitary hunting wasps. Each species catches a particular victim, many of these are spiders, and a specific species of spider, at that. The wasps at the cabin catch a small yellow and brown spider. Then, they disable or paralyze the spider with a sting, and encase that poor fellow in one of the compartments with an eggWhen
the wasp’s egg hatches, the larvae eats the spider, alive. If the wasp had killed the spider, it would rot before the egg hatched, and would not be fresh food for the larvae. Now,,I am not a big fan of spiders, but that does not seem like a particularly good way to go. I guess I feel a little bad for them, but, not that bad. They are spiders.
