The first resident of Huntland was renowned builder William Benton, who built Oak Hill in Loudoun County, the Virginia country estate of President James Monroe and his wife, Elizabeth.
Over the years, Huntland has changed owners and, at times, like many great homes, has stood empty and in disrepair.
