exist until Mason moved to Rappahannock in 2000. Prior to this Mason was performing 11-12 dates a month and running two businesses in Falls Church. He was literally dragged to the country by his wife at the time.
When he first arrived, he said, “There was no trash pick-up, no Starbucks, no sushi.” But soon he learned that the undistracted life is definitely worth living.
“I’ll never leave,” he avows, “but that transition,” wasn’t easy.
Mason, fit and younglooking, has two sons: Henry, 12, (who he said shows a lot of promise on guitar), and Arlo, 9, who also shows musical inclinations but is a little more stage shv.
