Position available at licensed Adult Day Center in Leesburg. Virginia. Plans, develops, implements programs for seniors with physical/mental limitations, according to state licensing requirements. Assists with individual care plans and assures therapeutic activities are appropriate for each client. Develops maintains confidential client records. Produces quarterly newsletter, updates brochures and promotional materials for Adult Day Center. Provides work supervision for program staff/volunteers. Monitors clients personal care needs. Serves as back up passenger vehicle operator. Requires Bachelors degree in related field. Strongly prefer degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Social Work. Nursing or have licensure as an RN in Virginia and two years experience working with frail elderly or other pnysically/mentally disabled population. A valid CDL with Passenger endorsement is required. Prefer current CDL at time of hire, however will provide assistance to successful candidate to obtain appropriate CDL license within 4 months of hire. Position requires regular, sensitive interaction with program participants. Must respond to client health emergencies, requiring administration of CPRFirst AidAED and contact with Emergency Response systems. Experience with automated database is desired. The incumbent of this position must comply with the Alcohol and Controlled Substance Testing Program as outlined by Loudoun County s Alcohol and Controlled Substance Testing Policy for Transportation Employees. Valid drivers license required. TB test with negative results, CPR /First Aid/AED Certification required. Medications Management Certification must be obtained within 3 months.
