Position manages theatrical physical plant, performs technical Operation of lighting/sound systems and related technical systems. Advises users/groups on technical support required for their programs. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on technical systems; orders equipment/ supplies needed for operation of the Center. Develops training program for volunteers. Develops standards for use and maintenance of lighting, sound and other technical theater systems. Develops programs and fee classes related to technical theater systems. Requires flexible work schedule to include varied weekday, evening and weekend hours. Bachelors degree in Technical Theater, Technical Production or related field with at least 2 years experience working with sound, lighting and other theater technical systems. Must be able to work in temperature extremes and lift 50 lbs. Some work is hazardous because of location (heights) or type of work (high voltage). Criminal background and DMV checks required.
