This is the first time a local student has received this award, and it has been won only once recently in the district which includes most of Virginia. To win this award a student must sell at least $250 worth of magazines. Susan sold $354.05 worth. She also received a certificate of achievement, a gold $100 Club Pin and enough stuffed animals to fill an annex on her father’s store.

Joanne van Brederode of Blue Rock harm, Washington was the reserve champion while Charlie Brown of Culpeper was champion in the hunter horse division.
