The chib members made the selection of three children in the county to attend the nature camp near Waynesboro this summer if enough reservations can be secured. The club had made plans to send one child, but if they can secure reservations, they will be able to send three by paying half the expenses.
Ground work was laid for planning a flower show to be held this fall.
Mrs. W. C. Hall of “Rose Hill” became a new member of the club at this meeting.
Visitors of the club were Mrs. Zeola Sealock and Mrs. C. H. H. Branch of Sperryville.
Flint Hill Boy Scout
Troop Installation
Tonight (Thursday) at 8 p.m. at Flint Hill Methodist church,, the Flint Hill Boy Scout Troop will be installed. Scout Field Executive Knisley will present the charter of the Troop. The Scouts are Wiley Allen Gentry, Buddy Goode, James Goode, Bobby Massi, Rodney Vest, Lajos Elteto, Galley Smith, Jimmy Lillard, Sonny Williams, Jimmy Sealock, —Grady Vest, and Jimmy Yates. The Scoutmaster is Paul L. Miller. The troop committee are H. S. Barksdale, institutional representative; M. E. Sliger, secretary; Charles Wood, treasurer; Capt; Weiner, explorer leader, and N. J, Flythe, chairman.
The troop is sponsored by the Men’s Bible Class of the Methodist church. The public is invited to attend this meeting.
