Anyway, it’s a milestone mark* ing a change in Rappahannock. Washington and Sperryville high schools from now on will increase in value with only remembrance as a judging standard. Since most of us have the facility to recall that which is pleasant and forget (that which is unpleasant, the two schools will gain in glamour as the years pass.
Next year the problems wijll come hot'and heavy. It will be a change in many ways and some folks will be inclined to criticize just because it is a change. You can always bet your bottom nickel on one thing: he who complains loudest will be the fellow who knows the least about the school.
It is the sincere hope of all the citizens of the county who are interested in the , children that this new consolidated school next year will be for the good of all— for children who are future citizens, and for the county as a whole. >
