3. A minimum of three adjacent acres of land from which the yield is to be determined by a standard met’ od must be entered by the adult farmers or Veterans Class members; a minimum of one acre to be entered by 4-H or F.F.A. members.
4. Each adult or veterans’ class applicant shall be charged $5.00 membership fee which shall accompany the application form, while the membership fee for each F.F.A. or 4-H member shall be $1.00. Membership fees shall be used for the following purposes:
A. To finance a banquet for all applicants.
B. Remaining proceeds to be divided among the county winners as follows:
1st prize 40 percent, 2nd prize 25 percent, 3rd prize 15 percent, 4th prize 10 percent, 5th and 6th prizes 6 percent each.
5. Winners shall be determined on v basis of yield alone.
6. A 100-Bushel Corn Club certificate will be presented to any farmer in the county who in 1950 makes 100 bushels or more per acre on a minimum of one acre.
7. Other awards include:
A. A sterling silver plate awarded jointly by Rappahannock Supply Co-operative, Inc., and Southern States Co-operative, Inc., ito be kept for one year by the person making the highest per acre corn yield of the current year and to become the permanent property of the person who for any three years makes highest per acre corn yield.
B. * In addition Rappahannock Supply Co-operative also will donate adapted certified corn hybrid seed as follows to the 1950 winners:
