Ladies and gentlemen:
This is a fast moving and rapidly changing world in which we live. We have hardly finished dne war—the second in a generation—> now we hear and read of preparations for a third conflict. We know of many new inventions— not all of them for the benefit of mankind. Great strides have been made in transportation and communication. The radio and television carry sound and pictures for countless miles. In our own little community we are faced with changes. Of particular interest to us is the change in our school system. We hope that the consolidation of our two high schools will result in more and better opportunities for the boys and girls of Rappahannock. This change, if it is to produce results we all hope for, will demand the active, .wholehearted support of the people of this county.
In spite of all these changes there are some things that remain constant, like the stars in the heavens. They are honesty and sincerity, friendliness, appreciation for the rights of others, lo-'e of parents for children, and love for fathers and mothers— above all, love of God, and His goodness. In a world troubled by conflict, doubt and fear, we can and must, if we are to be saved, put olur trust in the eternal truths of Christianity. They are simple and clear, and they furnish the only true answers to our problems.
With this thought in mind, the Class of 1950 bids you farewell.

The Pre-School Clinic was held in Sperryville Wednesday, May* 24.. Dr. Snead vaccinated ten children.
