Garry Lewis Deal of Sperrj ville was charged with failing to yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian Friday, October 2, in Culpeper County when his car struck Capt. Leslie C. McNemar, 80, at the corner of Main and Davis Streets, ir Culpeper. Capt. McNemar, a retire* I Navy officer, had startec i across Main Street when Deal
| driving a 1956 Ford, made ; right turn from Davis Streei on to Main Street, according to police reports. The front fender of the vehicle struck McNemar and knocked him down. It ran over his left ankle and leg. A hearing has been set for Friday, October 16 at 2 p.m. in Culpeper County Court.

The Culpeper Retail Merchants' Association is planning the biggest promotion ir Culpeper’s history on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 15, 16, and 17. Davis street will be reserved from Main to East Streets all three days so that the local automobile dealers can display their 1965 models of Fords, Chevrolets, Mercurys, Oldsmobiles, Buicks, Pontiacs, Ramblers, Tempests, Plymouths, Valiants, Falcons, Comets, Coryairs, and Dodges Everyone is invited to attend these big celebrations.
