Planned in State
The most comprehensive inventory of Virginia wildlife resources ever attempted will get underway this fall, according to Chester F. Phelps, Executive Director of the Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries. The survey will include a detailed breakdown of the relative abundance of deer and turkeys in each county of the state. In addition, the habitat conditions for each species will be indicated along with the upward, downward or stable trends of game populations.
