County Council will meet this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Baptist Church in Washington One of the main purposes of this meeting is to provide a workshop for the new 4-H Club officers. All officers are urged to attend the meeting. The following 4-H Clubs will be holding their October meetings this coming week: Washington Elementary . . fourth grades at 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15th. Home Demonstration Clubs .... The Sperryville Club met on Oct. 1st. with Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr. The group found Mrs. Raymond’s demonstration on planning a basic coordi nated wardrobe very interesting, and helpful. Scheduled meetings this week are: Chester Gap, Thurs day, Oct. 8th at 7:30 p.m. Woodville, Thursday, Oct. 8th at 2 p.m. Ami8sville, Monday ^October ;12th at 7:30 p.m, and Castleton, Tuesday, October 13th at 1:30 p.m. Arts and Crafts Committee The Arts and Crafts Commit tee will meet Oct. 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Cab Inn in Sperryville Plans for the Arts and Crafts Show, Oct. 27th Nov. 3rd will be made. Don't forget to contact the committee if you are interested in exhibiting in the show.

Insect Bite

Mrs. Haywood Jenkins of Sperryville was hospitalized Friday from ill effects of an insect bite. She was bitten on the face Tuesday by an insect and by F riday'became very ill. The Rappahannock Rescue Squad took her to University of Virginia Hospital where she remained until Monday. At this time she returned to her home and is improving steadily. _
