Guests for the weexertd of Mr. and Mrs. Rodes Brown were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and three sons, Stevie, David ind Michael of Hamilton, The Rev. and Mrs. A. Paul Thorny son and daughter Ann Rodes of Murfreesboro, N. C. On Saturday Bunny Thornton, who was home from V.P.I. for the weekend, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and Robert (Jock) Brown, attended the V.P.I.-Virginia football game, at Charlottesville. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar had as their guests for the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Kelton S. Virnelson, and Mr. andMra Richard A. Wilkins of Arlington.
Mrs. J. H. Daily spent the weekend in Bentonville with' Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Lockheart and attended services at the Primitive Baptist Church Saturday and Sunday. Callers of Mrs. Daily on Tuesday were S. B. Hardy and daughter, Helen Hardy of Arlington. Mr. and Mrs. J. Earle Wayland had as their guests over the weekend Lt. Col. and Mrs. C. R. Hall and their daughter, Connie Hall of Falls Church, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wayland of Arlington, Mr. and Mrs. Dickie Wayland and their son, Rickie of Portsmouth. Robert Brown of Portsmouth spent the weekend with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gore at Barlow. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Jr. and son Tracy of Alexandria were guests on Friday of Mr. Johnson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson.
