Red Cross Drive
Set During October
The Fund Drive of the Fauquier-Rappahannock Chapter of the American Red Cross will be conducted throughout the month of October. Serving as District Fund Chairmen are Mrs. H. B. Woo^ Woodville; Col. Roy Reeves, Sperryville; Mrs. Henry Keyser, Washington and Mrs. James R. Foster, Flint Hill, who will be assisted by other Volunteer Fund workers. Dedicated to all who need help, the Red Cross embraces the entire world through its concept of brotherhood. In the past 100 years, the Red Cross mission has expanded from care of the sick and wounded on the battlefield to help for those who lose their homes and possessions in the battle against nature’s disasters %nd to a wide variety of health and welfare services in communities.
There 1s an ever-increasing need for contributions of time, effort and funds to help people everywhere meet the challenges of the Space Age. With the.headlines of news of the recent hurricanes fresh in our minds and the knowledge of the needs which were met by the Red Cross let us respond gladly to the local Drive.
