The sound of music flows through the halls each afternoon as the R.C.H.S. Choir practices. The Choir has a membership of thirty-two, and is under the direction of Mrs. Norman Skinner. We shall look forward to a hootenanny to be presented in the next advisory. The Junior and Senior Classes have been organized and are now ready to start work on social affairs of the year. The Seniors elected as their officers the following: President, Janice Dodson; VicePresident, Thomas Atkins; Secretary, Linda Peahm; Treasurer, David Palmer; Reports er, Marlene Cordani. Junior Class officers are: President Jimmy Jenkins; Vice-President, Carolyn Johnston; Secretary, Page Moffett; and Treasurer, Becky Rector. A reading contest is being sponsored by Mr. Clarence Wagener. The contest is, how ever, limited to Juniors and Seniors. Sixteen students will read books and write a review. The student turning in the best review will receive a Certificate of Achievement and a ten dollar book order. The cheerleaders have begun practice for the basketball season. They will have new uniforms, but for further information be at the first game “Test* and “I'm glad I have a study hall before that class,*’ are expressions being heard these last days of the advisory.
