A North Carolina newspaper recently published an interview with the Rev. S. L. Morgan, retired Baptist minister, a resident in the Baptist Home in Hamilton, N.C. Mr. Morgan, observing his 93rd birthday said“ I was born just under the Skyline Drive near Sperryville. In my teens we moved to our permanent home ten miles east, in Culpeper County. Always I saw the sun set behind the glorious Blue Ridge their majesty 20 miles awaya great force in shaping my character”. He further recalled "Some months ago I called at the home of Mayor Davis of the town of Washington , Va. She had been acclaimed nationally as the popular woman mayor of the smallest Washington in the United States to have a Mayor and I wanted to assure her I deeply believe women are quite the equal of men. As a pastor I believed it so fully that in all my later pastorates my boards of deacons always included some outstanding women-I think it likely some of now living will see the first woman President of the United States.....From raw visit to
