Mrs. Hubert Gilkey, a member of the Chester Gap Home Demonstration Club, was elected secretary of the Eighth District Virginia Federation of Home Demonstration Clubs at the annual federation meeting held inAnnandale April 22. Nineteen women from Rappahannock County clubs attended the meeting. Three local ladies modeled costumes which they had made as club projects. They were Mrs. Charles Holmes of Amissville in a pink cotton ensemble; Mrs. Charlie Priest also of Amissville, with a three piece brown suit; and Mrs. James M. Vest of Flint Hill in a pink and white summer shift. The Flint Hill Club presented a display of the cookbook, "Recipes of Old Virginia*. Mrs. B. G. Titchenell of Woodville, Rappahannock County Chairman, extended an invitation to the Eighth District to hold the 1966 meeting in this county. In addition to those already mentioned, attending the meeting from Rappahannock were Mrs. Eileen Davis, Mrs. Dorcas Kuser and Mrs. Lucy Williams of the Chester Gap Club; Mrs. F. L. Luray Tulip Gardena Open To Public

The Luray Jonquil and Tulip Garden at 211 W. Main Street, in Luray, is again open to the public. This lovely garden contains over ten thousand bulbs* a hundred varieties of jonquils and tulips presenting a blaze of color. Jonquils are reaching their peak now and tulips are coming in. Everyone is invited to visit the garden. There is no charge, The garden is lighted in the evenings until 9:45.

Hold Skating Party

The M.Y.F. Group of Willis Chapel and Flint Hill Methodist Church and the Youth Group of Chester Gap Baptist Mission held a skating party at Mac’s Roller Rink, Berryville, last Tuesday night Accompanying them were Mrsi LeMerle Williams, Mrs. Evelyn Mills, Mrs. Edith North, Mr. and Mrs. James Burke, the Rev. Ralph Rasberry, Mrs. Thelma Russell, Mrs. Emory Russell and Mrs. M. R. Bradford.
