A contest for honorary fire chiefs will be held at 3:30 and the Firemen's Parade will start at 6 p. m., followed by a display of fireworks at 8:30 Several dances are scheduled to climax this day. On the agenda Friday will be a luncheon for visiting mayors which will be attended by Mrs. Dorothy Davis, Mayor of Washington, Virginia The mayor will also ride in the grand feature parade which begins at 1:30 p. m. and will contain antique cars, floats, and bands. Former world heavyweight champion, Jack Dempsey, will be Grand Marshal of the parade. The day will be concluded with dances including the Shenandoah Valley Ball. Featured on Saturday is the > antique car meet, an outdoor concert, twirling meet, and a country music show featuring Ernest Tubb, celebrated star of the country music field.
