Game Commission to
Vote Hunt Proposals
The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries will meet in Richmond May 7 to give :inal consideration to the proposed changes in hunting seasons and bag limits for this fall, according to Executive Director Chester F. Phelps. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Game Commission Conference Room. The major change proposed is a bucks only bag limit for most southern piedmont and central tidewater counties. Other changes in seasons and bag limits are on a county by county basis including the closure of four eastern counties to faH“ turkey hunting. The Commission is free to
adopt or reject these proposed I changes at their up-coming meeting, but may not, both modify and adopt in advertised proposal at the same meeting.
