Switches To EDT
The first of the four annual time changes faced by Virginians comes today. The Northern Virginia 10th district follows the lead of the District of Columbia and states to the north and switch ed to Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) Monday. For most of the state, though the time to turn up the clocks won’t come until the first moment of June 6. And in the Southwestern tip of the state, the clocks will stay on Stan- j dard Time all summer long, j Daylight time for the biggest part of the state will end the first moment of September 5. The Northern Virginia area will remain on EDT until the last Sunday in October.

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Fire Department will be happy to sell anything you may have at their semi annual sale, which will be held each Thursday and Friday during the month of May in the basement of the Washington Post Office.
