WSCS Will Hold District Meet
The Annual Meeting of the Charlottesville District Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the Methodist Church will be held May 6, 1965, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hinton Avenue Methodist Church, Charlottesville. Miss Sallie Browne,, who has. just returned from Liberia, Africa, will be the speaker. Another feature will be the presentation of the drama ‘The Supper That Wasn’t* written by Ernest K. Emurian in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Woman’k Society of Christian Service. Those attending will bring a covered dish for lunch. A nursery will be open for children.

Mrs Effie Youngman and Mrs. Amy Plaugher of Arlington were guests Sunday afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. Maddox Tppp. Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Tapp accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Stan Magee to dinner and the theatre as guests of the Old Dominion Hunt Club at Fauquier Springs County Club. Mrs. C. C. Cocker ill of Herndon will arrive today for a few days visit with her daughter Mrs. Sarah Latham and house guest Mrs. David Streagle. She will return home Sunday. Donnie Bowen will spend the !week-end at V.P.I., Blacksburg as the guest of Wendell Latham.
