On May 3 the Rappahannock! County Historical Society will hold its third meeting at the Court House at 8 p.m. All members (now 135) and any others interested are invited to attend this meeting. Several projects are to be developed for the coming months, including field trips for at least three committee programs, namely, houses, cemeteries, and mills. The Society will distribute the Charter membership cards to all present. Any one not yet signed up may do so at this meeting and receive Charter membership. The fee is $3.00 per person, $5.00 for family membership, and$1.00 for juniors. Each adult member shall receive all the benefits of the Society and a copy of the annual book on findings. On the agenda for Monday's meeting will be layout of summer projects, (1) County wide Historical Exhibition at the County Library 4th of July week. Contributions of historical documents, furnishings, artifacts, etc. may be registered at thia. meeting; (2) Selection of Committee Chairmen; (3) Appointment of field trip leaders; (4) Selection of Editors for the Annual Book of Findings. Anyone especially interested in any one of these projects may indicate their desires to either Mr. E. M. Jones or Wm. M. Carrigan. We will be happy to have contributions of historical material, letters, articles, etc., from anyone whether members of the Society or not, for publication in the Annual.
