Washington Carnival
Gives Dates, Prizes
Washington Fire Company and Rappahannock Rescue Squad announce that their fund raising carnival will be held June 29, 30 and July 1,2, and 3 at the carnival grounds just outside of town. This five-night event promises to be one of the best yet with a variety of thrilling rides scheduled, plus many games and lots of good food. Prizes to be given away in- -N elude an RCA color console television; a 4-day bus trip to the World’s Fair in New York for two people plus $100 spending money; and a $25 Saw ings Bond. The trip to the fair will be September 3, 4, 5, returning home the 6th. In addition to four tickets to the fair there will be a cruise around Manhattan Island, tour of Manhattan and Chinatown, tour of the United Nations and tickets each day to a TV show.

Republicans To Hold Meeting on May 6th
The Rappahannock Republicans will hold a meeting, Thursday, May 6 at 8 p.m. at Hampton Inn, Washington, Va. This is an important meeting as delegates to the state and district convention have to be chosen.
