Home Decorating Contest In Washington
The annual Christmas Declorating Contest sponsored by the Town Council in the Town of Washington will be judged (this year on Sunday, December 26th starting at 7:30 p.m. The object of the contest is to promote interest in making the town more attractive during the holidays and to point up safety through fire prevention.
Town residents and water users are eligible and those with lighting will be considered in the judging on the second day of Christmas, Council member Bertha Armel is in charge of decorating the town tree which is in the lot between the bank arid fire hall. This is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, December 19th. Sidewalk superintendents as well as active helpers will be welcome.
