Mrs. MaryCleverleyof Flint Hill shares with us one of her favorite cookie recipes.

Swiss Prits

1 1/2 cups butter or margarine 1 well beaten egg 1 cup sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 teaspoon baking powder 4 cups flour

Thoroughly cream butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix into smooth dough. Force through cookie tube, making different designs and decorate with candied fruits. Bake in hot oven 400 degrees until light brown .. 8 minutes. Yields 5 dozen. Keeps well.
