Contest for the Amissville area this year as they have for the past several years. Judging will take place Christmas week.

Downs Panthers
The Broadway Cobblers defeated the Rappahannock Panthers on the local court F riday night in a hard-fought game with a closing score of 6760. The close score indicates great improvement and poteaw tial of the Panthers this year, for the Broadway team is undefeated to date. The Panthers held the lead through the first three quarters of the game, but the Cobblers pulled away from them in the last two minutes of the fourth. High scorer for the locals was Ronnie Pullen with 13 points, followed by Roger Atkins and Bill Durden with ten points each. Jim Wampler was the top man for Broadway and for the game with an amazing 39 points.
