Something ought to be done to prevent more dumping and tin-can tossing, and to clean up the mess that got there because there isn’t any ordinance strong enough to prevent it. We thank the lady for joining our campaign. Welcome aboard! We hope she stays in our county forever and never goes back where she came from. I would assume there already are restrictions against dumping in the river and in residential5 areas.- But the fact that some people break these restrictions or other laws doesn't mean that we should have no laws. It is like saying that since crime continues on the city streets we should abolish policemen, and oppose future laws. We would hope that anyone “Down in the Dumps" will do whatever they can to end unsightly dumping bearing in mind that the county has set aside specified areas for dumps.
