Graduation exercise* me some 230 Virginia Military Institute first classmen were held in Lexington, Va. on Sunday, June 12, 1966. Among the degree candidates were Cadet Rayner Varser Snead, Jr. of Washington, Va. who received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is the son of Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead, Washington and before entering VMI was a graduate of Warren County High School, Front Royal. The commencement ceremony, with Gov. Mills E. Godwin, Jr. as principal speaker, climaxed the finals program which got under way Friday, the baccalaureate service was held Sunday morning. Mr. Snead has accepted a position with DuPont in Martinsville, Va.
