Slate Mills
Bible School started Monday morning at the Slate Mills Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. John Gaines of Culpeper were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Gaines’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jenkins of Slate Mills. Other guests were the Jenkins’ son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Jenkins and children Lisa and Bill of Front Royal. Miss Mary Frances Jenkins, who makes her home with the Clarence Jenkins’ returned to Front Royal with the Charles Henry Jenkins'for several days' visit. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Barfield and family of Berryville and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Brown of Front Royal were Sunday guests of Mrs. Hazel Barfield. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Tidier were D. Dorak of Falls Churcfi' Mrs. J. J. Casey of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Weaver of Bbston and Mrs. Julia Carver of Culpeper. Robert Martin and Edwin Curtis of Culpeper were Monday guests of the Tidlers. Mrs. Casey and Mrs. Carver were Saturday overnight guests. Mr. and Mrs. Brice Biggers spent from Wednesday until Friday of last week in Washington, D. C. to visit Mrs. Biggers’ sister Mrs. Evelyn Holloway who underwent surgery in George Washington University Hospital. They returned on Monday and were ‘accompanied home by Mrs. Holloway after leaving the hospital. Duane Dibble spent Sunday morning in Dayton and in the afternoon attended the Seventh Day Adventist Camp Meeting being held at Shenandoah Val
