A summer 4-H sewing class is being instituted in Flint Hill under the instruction of Mrs. Mary Cleverley. The course will consist of six two-hour sessions at Mrs. Clever leys on Main Street, Flint Hill and hours are from 9 until 11 a.m. with the first meeting on Thursday, June 23. The class will learn to use a sewing machine and to use a commercial pattern. Those enrolled in the class are Nancy Cargill, Janet Clou4 Frances Pullen arid Joan Pullen, all Washington; Ellen Dearing, Margaret Jett, Chris' tine Pulleq, Judy Rinker, Cherlye Roberts, Deborah Turner and Polly Wharton, all Flint, Hill; and Risa Frye, Huntly.
Named To Dean's List
Miss Bonnie Heaton Brown of Woodville was among those making the dean’s list at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio for the second trimester. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown and a graduate of Rappahannock County High School, class of 62. She attended Bridgewater College two and a half years and transferred to Miami. To be included on the Dean’s list a B average for a courseload of 12 hours or more is required. Miss Brown had an average of 3.49 for an honor listing. (3.0 is straight B.)
