Pvt. Charles Smith and Pvt. Felix Mica, both of Ft. Gordon, Ga. were week-end guests pf Pvt. Smith’s mother Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. Mrs. Brue Wood visited her aunt, Mrs. Robert E. Miller Sunday at the Blankenbaker Rest Home where Mrs. Miller is temporarily staying while her nurse Is ill. John B. Browning and Jimmie Bowling returned Saturday from a two weeks motor trip to Canada. Mis8 Judy Latham has returned to Radford to attend the summer session of Radford College. Pvt. Louis Moore, Jr. and Pvt. Ray Astinson of Ft. Bel voir were week-end guests in the home of Pvt. Moore. Sunday visitors in the Moore home were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Williamson and son Michael Of Front Royal. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Houser of Ft. Eustis, Va. were guests from Saturday until Monday of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Cook. Edward E. Clark, Jr. was a guest several days this Week of Stephen Dewey in Annandale.
Mrs. Barbara Gentry was in Roanoke from Monday until Wednesday to attend the State Postmasters Convention. Mrs. Frank W. Spalding accompanied by Mrs. T. C. Lea and Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr. flew to Detroit, Mich, last Wednesday and returned home with Robert L. Massie, Jr.
