John Carney, III, son of Col. and Mrs. John • Carney, Jr. was discharged from Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D. C. Tuesday and will spend several days with relatives in Georgetown before returning home. He has been hospitalized for treatment of an injury received in an automobile accident April 10. Mr. and Mrs. John Jarvis and children Alice, John and David, of Georgetown, Ky. were visitors last week of Mrs. Jarvis' uncle H. B. Winfrey and Mrs. Winfrey while the guests of other relatives in Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson were in Washington, D.C. Thursday to meet Mrs. Katie B. Coates and their grandchildren Joanne and Judy Johnson 'who arrived by plane from Lakeland, Fla. Mrs. Coates is visiting her brother Bob Brown in Culpeper and the grandchildren are with Mr. and Mrs.Mohnson. Edward Butler of Arlington was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Butler for the week-end. Mrs. Joseph Hawkins was a Thursday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Butler. Mrs. E. N. Montague was hostess Wednesday afternoon at her home with a buffet luncheon and business meeting for twenty members and guests of the Women of Bromfield Parish Episcopal Church. Mr6. E. E. Johnson of Culpeper, Mrs. Elizabeth Brookman of Clifton and Mrs. Ruby Dintler of Washington, D.C. were guests Tuesday of Miss Nellie Johnson. The Home Demonstration Club met with Miss Nellie John son Tuesday night with seven members present. Mr. and Mrs. Emory Conners and son Larry were dinner guests Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cline in Fredericksburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Jean Beegle and family of Bedford, Pa. were Wednesday guests of Mi; and Mrs. Clifton Clark. Mr. and Mrs. John Hennage of Montross and David Greer were guests Thursday of the Clarks. Raymond Johnson is a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery Tuesday.
