Mrs. Katherine Ethel Fox Hirst of Purcellville, Va. died Tuesday, June 14, 1966 at Loudoun Memorial Hospital in Leesburg. She was the wife of J. Terry Hirst, lumber merchant and a member of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, who survives her, Mrs. Hirst was a native of Washington, Va. and was educated at Longwood College, Farmville. She had lived for the past 52 years in Purcellville and taught school there for several years. She was active in the work of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, and was a Sunday School teacher and choir director for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Kepoctin Chapter of the Daughr ters of the American Revolution and St. Hilda’s Episcopal Guild. In addition to her husband, survivors include one son, Julian F. Hirst of Roanoke; two daughters, Mrs. William Pollard of Charlottesville and Mrs. Andrew Bogle of Purcellville; one sister, Mrs. Charles Bruce of Washington, Va. and six grandchildren. A funeral service will be held this morning, June 16, at 10 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church, Round Hill with interment in Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, Va.
