in an accident on Route 5^2 a half mile north of Flint Hill on June 9. Roy Franklin Bean of Mt. Jackson, operating a 55 Ford, made a short left turn in front of a 66 Chevrolet pickup operated by William Edward Frazier of Huntly and owned by Donald Gore of Sperryville. The pickup struck the rear of the car, said Trooper Buntin. Cornelius Frazier, a passenger in the truck, sustained a bruised forehead and right wrist. Damage was estimated at $150 to the Gore pickup. Bean was charged with reckless driving.
On June 3, a 58 Chevrolet station wagon operated by JesJ sie Framon Collins of Roanoke struck a bank on Route 211 five miles east of Washington. Collins was negotiating a curve when he ran off the right of the road, swerved back and struck the left bank He sustained lacerations of the face and bruised right side of his body. Damage to the vehicle was set at $500 and Collins was charged with failing to keep his vehicle urv der control, according to Trooper Buntin.
