Harry Morris, secretary to the Fauquier County Economic Development Committee, told the Fauquier Board of Supervisors last week that he had "good news" for them, and l then described the manufacturer's intention of locating |at the town limits of Warrenton on a five acre to 10 acre industrial site.
Mr. Morris said that the firm, which manufactures rain wear, will build a 30,000 square foot air conditioned building and that its final decision to locate here depends on their success in an adequate work force within a 20 to 30 mile radius of Warrenton.
Women applicants must be at least 18 years old. They are offered full time jobs in an air conditioned facility, an attractive piecework earning program, cafeteria facilities, a child care program, paid holidays and vacations and hospital and medical benefits.
They will be trained at company expense while the plant is under construction. The annual payroll at the Warrenton plant will be more than $1 million. The estimated cost of locating the plant here is $350, 000. Mr. Morris told the Fauquier Supervisors that last year the firm made a gross profit of $30 million.
