Gets Sports Honor
Hawley C. Waterman, Jr., Director of Athletics at The Hun School of Princeton, Princeton, New Jersey, has announced the names of winners of letters, numerals and awards in the spring sports season recently completed. In making the announcement Mr. Waterman stated that the spring season had been the most successful of the school year. LaCrosse had its first winning season since its initia tion as a varsity sport, finishing with an 8-4-0 record anc. the Penn-Jersey League cham pionship. The Baseball team posted an outstanding record of ll-l-l, enabling Hun to win the Penn-JerSey League cham pionship in this field for the first time in many year#. The Tennis squad, hampered by the loss of many lettermen from last year, showed a final record of 3-3. Only the Crew, suffering from lack of sufficient experience, showed a losing record; it is felt that the recent addition of a fourman shell and seasoning in competition will make next year’s crew more successful. Winners of sports honors from this area are: John Prentiss Greenaway, son of Mrs. Gordon R. Johnstone, Blue Rock Farm, Washington, Virginia, who received his numerals earlier this year for participation in junior varsity football, was awarded his numerals for baseball.
