Cancer Group Reports On Annual Spring Drive
The second'quarterly meeting of the Rappahannock Unit of the American Cancer Society was held Monday evening at the courthouse in Washington, Va. Miss Mary Miller Wood, local chairman of the spring cancer crusade, made a report of funds contributed and expressed appreciation to all volunteers who aided with the crusade. The tally by districts follows: Hampton - $202.80; Hawthorne - $158.09; Stonewall - $124.50; Piedmont - $222.50; Jackson - $425.57; Wakefield - $60.77; Memorial gifts - $55.00 - Total - $1,249.25. Miss Wood also extended thanks to all who contributed so generously to make the fund campaign a success.

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Amissville Fire Companywill sponsor a dance at the fire hall there on Saturday night, June 18, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m Music will be by R. B. F razier and the Virginia Travelers. Admission is $1.25 per person.
