and Carroll Racer, Jr. attended the funeral of their counsin Mrs. Gladys Jenkins Racer last Wednesday in Berryville. Mrs. George Payne, Miss Gladys Payne and Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Fincham visited Mrs. George Payne’s son-inlaw George Jenkins in Front Royal on Saturday afternoon. David Palmer will return to V.P.I. for the summer session.
Guests Saturday and Sunday of Mrs. L. J. Turner were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dewhirst of Hampton and Miss Carolyn Gates Turner of Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones and son Ned Moffett Jones spent the week-end at Virginia Beach. Mrs. George Haymaker and father Randolph Grubbs of Front Royal were Sunday supper guests of Miss Lottie Burton* Mrs. F. B. Jacobsen left Wednesday after spending several weeks with her brotherin-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Keyser. Mrs. Jacobsen will visit relatives and friends in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Maine before returning to her home in Tampa, Florida. Mrs. C. G.
