Luncheon, shower
Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer and Mrs. Frances Updike of Culpeper were hostesses at a luncheon and shower on Saturday at the home of Mrs. Schaefer when Mrs. Andrew S. Reams of Winchester was the guest of honor.

On dean’s list
Cheryl A. Poling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Poling of Amissville, has been named to the semester dean’s list at Ferrum College. The dean’s .list at Ferrum is composed of students who have received grades of “B” or better in all their academic subjects for the semester and who have achieved an average of 3.5 or better out of a possible 4.0.
Ferrum College is a co-educational United Methodist related institution. The college awards AA and AS degrees through the junior college and BA and BS degrees in five human service areas through the college’s senior division.□
