Whorton

A funeral service for Moffett Samuel Whorton of Castleton was held Sunday at Geest Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. James Adkins. Burial was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Whorton, 68, died February 20, 1976 in Winchester Memorial Hospital. A native of Rappahannock, he was a son of the late Henry Albert (Sam) Whorton and Julia Catherine Hitt Whorton.

Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Addie Keyser of Washington, Va., Mrs. Mattie Butler and Mrs. Olive Dodson, both of Culpeper, Mrs. Neva Alther of Castleton and Mrs. Minnie Fletcher of Orange; four brothers, Earl Whorton of Boston, Raymond and Melvin Whorton of Culpeper and Browning Whorton of Elkwood.D
