THE Extension . Homemakers Clubs are offering four scholarships to area youth. The following scholarships are available: The Hallie L. Hughes scholarship, Maude E. Wallace scholarship, Ella G. Agnew scholarship and the Rappahannock County Extension Homemakers Scholarship.
The Hallie L. Hughes Scholarship is given to a student who plans to major in Home Economics and work toward the position of an Extension Agent. The student may attend any Virginia college offering an accredited course in Home Economics. A girl may receive the scholarship only once; it may be for any scholastic year. The amount of this scholarship will be $500 annually. A check for this amount will be mailed to the recipient upon certification or a presentation of the check will be made at the annual meeting of the Council with proper recognition.
