gelding to the front over thelthird fence and he was never headed. Charles Owens rode his Jay’s Trouble to place, and Baroness Bedros, after almost losing rider Anthony Price on landing after the last fence, was third. ^
FOLLOWING the Casanova Cup, which was next, was the First Colony—the owner-rider hurdle race. Charles Owen’s High Peak was the first across the wire, but he was disqualified for having earlier crossed over and bumped Kool Kake, causing her to fall with Kevin Palmer. The victory went to Douglass Worrall’s recent purchase, Iron Man’s Orr, making his first start over fence.
